Starlight Children’s Foundation

FOC have donated over $23,000 over four years

FOC was able to assist the Starlight Children’s Association to fulfil wishes and support the continuation of the Captain Starlight Program in Hospital. FOC Volunteers also assisted in selling Starlight merchandise to increase their annual funds.

The highlight for FOC was when a former recipient of Starlight Children’s Foundation funds approached us and recounted their success story about their involvement with the group.

St. Patrick’s Community Support Centre

FOC donated a new stove valued at $5,710

The Friends of the Community pledge $3,000 per annum to St. Patrick’s Community Support Centre for their sculpture program. It is always amazing to see our contributions being utilised.

St. Patrick’s provides meals 365 days per year at their Day Centre. The Support Centre also provides welfare and health checks to those in need. There are specialised programs targeting the wellbeing of those experiencing homelessness, such as music, art, recreation and much more.

Guide Dogs WA

FOC has chosen charity Guide Dogs WA

FOC help will fund the breeding costs, food, veterinary care, training and ongoing assessment of guide dog puppies, as well as our other vital services for Western Australians who are blind or vision impaired.

This experience was a lot of fun and educational for our volunteers and the Manning Park Trail Run participants.

Cancer Council

The Cancer Council Means a Lot to FOC

FOC are proud to support the Cancer Council by way of a $6,00.00 donation and a $2,000.00 on Valentines Day.

The reasoning behind our creative ways of assisting this organisation is due to several of our members, families and friends being cancer survivors.

Each volunteer was 100% involved in the fundraising, especially when we decided to do a Valentine’s Day promotion. Anyone could purchase flowers and either give them to their proposed recipient or donate and have them delivered to someone as an anonymous gift. So much fun so many flowers.
